The League of Legends team traveled to Chicago, IL to compete in the High School Esports Invitational (HSEI) sponsored by Champion. This was the team's first tournament and travel for them as well as for the program in its brief history. Elkhart, along with 21 other high school programs, all from Illinois, competed in a day long LAN event at Hangar 2112 for a chance at glory, sweet gear, and prize money for their program.

Elkhart took their first game of the day in convincing fashion.  In their 2nd match of the day, the Elite had control of the match before over aggression turned the tide and they took their first loss of the day. The Elite went straight back to the rift for their 3rd match of the day. Misplays and miscommunication derailed the team, as they dropped their 2nd match in the afternoon and finished the event 1-2. Elkhart finished the event outside the Top 10 at 11th and gained some valuable insight at playing away from home!
